The third edition of the China International Import Expo<\/strong> (CIIE) in Shanghai<\/strong> will officially begin on November 5th.<\/p>\n

The appointment with the largest Chinese fair dedicated to import-export<\/strong> is renewed again this year, in the sign of an attempt to return to normality for the People’s Republic, the first of the major world economies to move towards a recovery<\/strong> in 2020.<\/p>\n

As we reported in one of our latest articles<\/a>, analysts at the International Monetary Fund have agreed to forecast growth<\/strong> for the Asian superpower of around +1.2%<\/strong> compared to 2019 by the end of the year.<\/p>\n

Events such as the China International Import Expo, promoted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce<\/strong> and the Municipality of Shanghai<\/strong>, are a strategic response capable of reinforcing China’s presence on the international scene.<\/p>\n

The goal is to boost cooperation<\/strong> and strengthen economic ties<\/strong> between Beijing and the rest of the world: a goal that Xi Jinping’s presidency has been actively pursuing for some time, especially thanks to initiatives of enormous scope such as the Belt and Road Initiative<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

With more than 180 participating nations<\/strong> and international organizations and more than 400,000 visitors<\/strong> expected, this new edition is even more extensive and richer than the previous one, according to the official website<\/a> of the event: more than 30,000 new square meters<\/strong> are available for exhibitors, organized by sector in the halls of the National Exhibition and Convention Center<\/strong> in Shanghai.<\/p>\n

Visitors will be able to move among the numerous stands dedicated to products and services in sectors such as tourism<\/strong>, finance<\/strong>, clothing<\/strong>, healthcare<\/strong>, food<\/strong> and many others. There will also be conferences, seminars and events dedicated to the B2B world.<\/p>\n

In the face of these figures, it is easy to see how the local authorities intend to adopt strict control and prevention measures to ensure that the event is held in complete safety<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Together with over 500 industry leaders<\/strong> and thousands of exhibitors from all over the world, we at Matchplat<\/strong> will also be present this year through our network of local business partners<\/strong>: in particular, on November 6th we will take part in a matchmaking event between companies sponsored by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the collaboration between the Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, AICE (Italian Foreign Trade Association) and the Italy-China Foundation, in 2020 Italian companies were again supported in their participation in the event, providing Made in Italy<\/strong> with the right visibility: a necessity now essential for anyone wishing to take advantage of the opportunities offered by a market like the Chinese one.<\/p>\n

The desire to strengthen trade relations between our country and the People’s Republic was recently reaffirmed by Li Junhua<\/strong>, Chinese Ambassador to Italy, who spoke during the online conference organised by the Italy-China Foundation<\/strong> on 22 October and dedicated to 50 years of cooperation<\/strong> between the two nations.<\/p>\n
